Graduation!
After several years of hard work, I have successfully completed high school. I am now free from all the constraints that came with adolescence. What that will mean for tomorrow, I am unsure, but for today it means I have reached adulthood.
Mother felt inclined to come, as well as an exhausted Selene. She recently became a toddler, and while she might not understand what's going on, I'm glad she's here. I've become very fond of her, and have taken on the task of caring for her during the times when I'm not at school. Now that I've completed my education, I can launch myself into the task of preparing her for the limited childhood available to the Slayer children. I am determined to make her's considerably more enjoyable than mine was. But more on that later.I also received two awards in addition to my diploma today. I spoke to my class as valedictorian, telling them of how we all have the potential to be successful. Little do they know I have bigger plans for them.
I also was voted 'Most Likely to Write a Bestselling Novel'. I suppose all those essays were going to pay off eventually. It may not be as glamorous as 'Most Popular' or 'Most Likely to Succeed', but I believe this award is very well suited to me. As such, I've created a bit of an award wall above my desk, which also displays the certificates I received for mastering both painting and writing. Pretty impressive, hm?
In regards to the task presented to me by Elvira, I have decided to wait until Selene comes of an age to be of use. I don't feel it'd be right to proceed without her. After all, this is our inheritance. Mother urges that I must make haste, but all good things come in time I say. For now, I think I'll write a few books. I have this great idea for a drama that I think the public will love...
Until next time,
Dario
